Welcome to Unclear Image! My name is Oliver Briggs. I’m a film photographer, camera broker, classic camera enthusiast and father. 

Since 2020, I’ve been putting rolls of film through the most unique, exciting, and strange cameras and lenses I could find. Cameras are not only precise tools, but remarkable feats of engineering—exercises in design, displays of craftsmanship, and expressions of the cultural climate and time period they were born from. They are truly fascinating and beautiful objects.

I understand how buying vintage cameras can feel like a gamble. Classic cameras can be anywhere from twenty to over one-hundred-years old. I apply the skills and equipment I’ve gathered from years of buying, testing, shooting, and selling cameras to rigorously test items before passing them on to you. I’m determined to build Unclear Image on trust and transparency. My grading scale is honest and thorough, so you’ll always know what condition the item is in before you buy it. I carefully photograph each piece to show its unique flaws and accurately represent its condition. Each shutter is checked with a Revini Labs shutter tester to verify if each speed is within tolerance. Finally, I offer a 180-day limited warranty and unconditional guarantee that all items will arrive as described—or I will refund you in full.
